My name is Júlia Standovár. I am a Brooklyn-based Hungarian artist born and raised in Budapest. This website is both a live archive and a platform to showcase artworks and art products that fall under the ongoing project, Kinky Concrete—a singular, female-driven universe. 

Kinky Concrete interweaves photography and sculpture to map out my artistic exploration of human relationships, intimacy, and sexuality through the rigid yet fluid material of concrete and other materials. The series explores private, personal and physical human relationships, leaving room for the viewer to  decode multiple interpretations. The objects—appearing either individually or in groups— hover between useless and usefulness, “art” and functional design.
